As a Pennsylvania native, Ian Abriatis has nine years of experience in the Food and Beverage industry and is known for his bartending skills and lively personality. At a young age, Ian quickly realized his love and passion for restaurants, people, and service. Following his passion, Ian attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management. Afterwards, Ian helped to open a new restaurant, Josephine’s Pizzeria & Enoteca, in Indiana, PA. While there Ian spent years building an entire bar program that created a craft cocktail scene, which had never been in that town before.
Following those accomplishments, Ian moved to Charleston to expand his career, start a new life with his girlfriend, and continue to follow his passion for the industry. Prohibition and The Macintosh is where Ian got his first start in Charleston as a bartender. Within less than a year, Ian became the Bar Manager at The Macintosh this December, which is now where you can catch him behind the bar. When not behind the bar, you can find him on the golf course or enjoying other local restaurants and life in the city with his girlfriend, Ashley.
